Trifluridine/Tipiracil Application Scope

LONSURF is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) who have previously received, or are not candidates for, standard therapies including fluoropyrimidine-, oxaliplatin-, and irinotecan-based chemotherapy, anti-VEGF therapy, and, if RAS wild-type, anti-EGFR treatment. It is designed to slow disease progression, improve survival outcomes, and provide a therapeutic option for patients with advanced, difficult-to-treat colorectal cancer.

Guidelines for the Use of Lonsurf

  • Dosage and Administration

    • Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take as soon as possible. Do not double the next dose.​

  • Adverse Reactions:

    • Common Adverse Reactions (≥5%):

      • nausea, vomiting, decreased blood counts, fatigue

    • Serious Adverse Reactions:

      • severe myelosuppression, hypersensitivity reactions

  • Contraindications: Patients with known severe hypersensitivity to Trifluridine, Tipiracil, or excipients

  • Precautions:

    • Monitor blood counts during treatment

    • Advise patients to inform healthcare provider if pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding
