Ubenimex Capsules Application Scope

Ubenimex Capsules can enhance immune function and are used for anti-cancer chemotherapy, radiotherapy adjuvant therapy, and geriatric immunodeficiency.

It can be used in conjunction with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and combined application in patients with leukaemia, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, and hemopoietic stem cell transplantation, as well as other solid tumour diseases.

Enhances immune function.
Adjunct to cancer chemo/radiotherapy.
For age-related immune deficiency.
Used with chemo/radiotherapy for leukemia, myeloma, and solid tumors.

Guidelines For The Use Of Ubenimex Capsules

Dosage and Administration:

Adults: 30mg per day, either as a single dose on an empty stomach in the morning or divided into three doses.
Children: Adjust the dose as recommended by the physician.
If symptoms improve, the dose may be reduced to 2-3 times per week

Adverse Reactions:

Generally well-tolerated, though some patients may experience:
- Rash, itching, headache, facial swelling.
- Digestive issues such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and soft stools.
- A mild increase in liver enzymes (AST, ALT) may occur but generally subsides with discontinuation of the medication.
- Adverse reactions were observed in 2.3% of users, with liver function abnormalities (1.8%), skin issues (1.3%), and digestive symptoms (0.9%) being the most common.

Medication Limitations

Contraindications: Contraindications are not yet defined.

Precautions:

Immune System: Ubenimex enhances immune function and should not be used in patients undergoing immunosuppressive therapy unless the benefits outweigh the risks to avoid immune imbalance.
Liver Function: Regular monitoring of liver function is required during treatment, as liver metabolism may be affected.
Pediatric Use: The safety of Ubenimex in children has not been established. It should be used with caution in pediatric patients.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Pregnancy: Animal studies suggest Ubenimex may cause fetal developmental issues. It should be used during pregnancy only if the benefits outweigh the risks.
