Tetrandrine Tablets  Application Scope

Tetrandrine Tablets are used for rheumatic pain, joint pain, and neuralgia. Additionally, they are employed in combination with low-dose radiation therapy for lung cancer, a condition often associated with oncology diseases. These tablets are also effective in managing simple silicosis stages I, II, and III, as well as all stages of coal silicosis.

Guidelines For The Use Of Tetrandrine Tablets

Dosage and Administration: Oral use.

  • For rheumatoid and analgesic effects: 20 mg–40 mg per dose, 3 times a day.
  • For lung cancer treatment: 40 mg–60 mg per dose, 3 times a day.
  • For silicosis: 60 mg–100 mg per dose, 3 times a day, for 6 days, followed by 1 day off. Treatment cycle is 3 months.

Adverse Reactions: Some patients may experience mild drowsiness, fatigue, nausea, and discomfort in the upper abdomen after taking the medication. Long-term use may cause facial pigmentation, which can subside after discontinuing the drug.

Tetrandrine Tablets Medication Limitations

Contraindications:

  • Not for use in patients with organic diseases of the liver, kidneys, or other organs.
  • Contraindicated in pregnant women.
  • Contraindicated in individuals allergic to this product.

Precautions:

  • Liver function, ECG, and other relevant tests should be conducted every 3 months during treatment.

Tetrandrine Tablets Interactions

  • It can alleviate the digestive tract reaction and limb numbness caused by chemotherapy drugs and has a protective effect on the damage of haemoglobin and white blood cells caused by chemotherapy.
  • Increases the maximum plasma concentration (Cmax) after oral administration of cyclosporine A.
