Metreleptin Application Scope
Metreleptin is used together with diet to treat complications caused by leptin deficiency in people who have lipodystrophy (also called fat redistribution). It is not for use in people who are obese or have lipodystrophy caused by HIV or AIDS.

Guidelines For The Use Of Metreleptin
Dosage and Administration: Dosage is based on weight, especially in children and teenagers. It is usually given once daily, subcutaneously, at any time of day, with or without food.
Adverse Reactions: Common side effects may include headache and stomach pain. In some people, it can trigger an immune response, leading to less effectiveness or certain side effects.
