Guidelines For The Use Of Gemcitabine Hydrochloride Injection

Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose of gemcitabine for adults is 1000mg/m2 intravenously over 30 minutes once a week for three consecutive weeks, followed by a one-week break and repeated every four weeks. Reduce the dose accordingly depending on the patient’s toxicity.

Adverse Reaction: HEMATOLOGICAL: Myelosuppressive, anemia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia may occur. Gastrointestinal; hepatic aminotransferase abnormalities in about 2/3 of patients, mostly mild, nonprogressive damage; nausea and vomiting in about 1/3 of patients, 20% of patients require medication.

 

Gemcitabine Hydrochloride Injection Medication Limitations

Contraindications: Patients who are allergic to this drug are contraindicated.

Precautions: Avoid use in pregnant and lactating women. It should be used with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment. The accumulation of myelosuppressive effect should be considered when combining with other anticancer drugs or sequential chemotherapy.
