Elaprase Idursulfase is an enzyme replacement therapy indicated for the treatment of Hunter syndrome (Mucopolysaccharidosis II, MPS II), a rare genetic disorder caused by a deficiency of the iduronate-2-sulfatase enzyme. This deficiency leads to the accumulation of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) in various tissues, resulting in progressive multi-system complications.
