Precautions: Cardiac function should be closely monitored during epirubicin therapy to minimize the risk of heart failure (this heart failure can occur even weeks after termination of therapy and may be ineffective in response to the appropriate drug therapy) The potential risk of cardiotoxicity of epirubicin may be increased in patients who are currently receiving or have previously received combined mediastinal and pericardial area radiotherapy. Caution should be exercised in determining the maximum accumulative dose of epirubicin when co-administered with any potentially cardiotoxic drug.
Cefpirome Sulfate for Injection Interactions
Epirubicin may be used in combination with other antineoplastic agents, but the epirubicin dosage should be reduced. When used in combination, it should not be used in the same syringe.
